To describe demographic and clinicopathological features, treatment patterns, and survival outcomes of patients with angiosarcoma within a soft tissue sarcoma cohort.
Key Findings:
Among 548 soft tissue sarcoma cases, 12 patients (2.2%) had angiosarcoma.
Median age was 62 years; older age was noted in cutaneous (69 years) versus visceral (44 years) disease.
75% of patients presented with metastatic/unresectable disease at diagnosis.
First-line therapy was paclitaxel-based in 66.7% and anthracycline-based in 33.3%, achieving disease control in 66.7%.
Median overall survival was 9.5 months and median first-line progression-free survival was 4.8 months.
