This study evaluates the feasibility and safety of intravascular ultrasound (IVUS)-guided percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for syphilitic coronary artery ostial lesions (SCAOL).

Cardiovascular syphilis can lead to significant coronary ostial stenosis, posing a risk for acute myocardial infarction or sudden cardiac death. Traditional revascularization methods like CABG may not be suitable for all patients, necessitating further exploration of PCI as an alternative.
