Lowered IgM natural autoantibody concentrations correlate with severity of juvenile idiopathic arthritis

Background
Juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) is the most common chronic inflammatory rheumatic disease in children, characterized by joint inflammation of unknown origin. The severity of JIA can vary significantly.
