Clinical Report: Imaging Characteristics of Primary Breast Epithelial–Myoepithelial Carcinoma
Background
Breast EMC is a rare biphasic malignant tumor, comprising less than 0.5% of all breast tumors. Due to its low incidence, the imaging characteristics of EMC are not well-documented, which complicates diagnosis and treatment.
Data Highlights
The case study includes multimodal imaging findings from digital mammography, CT, MRI, conventional ultrasound, SWE, and CEUS, correlated with histopathological results.
Key Findings
EMC is characterized by both epithelial and myoepithelial components.
Imaging findings can overlap with those of invasive ductal carcinoma and benign adenomyoepithelioma.
SWE demonstrated stiffness heterogeneity in the tumor.
