Clinical Report: COSMIC-313 Study Final Results in Advanced Renal Cell Carcinoma

Background
Advanced renal cell carcinoma (RCC) remains a challenging condition with limited treatment options. The COSMIC-313 study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of combining cabozantinib with nivolumab and ipilimumab in this patient population. Understanding the impact of treatment combinations and biomarkers is crucial for optimizing therapeutic strategies in advanced RCC.

Key Findings
Cabozantinib plus nivolumab and ipilimumab resulted in a median PFS of 16.6 months.
The placebo group had a median PFS of 11.2 months.

Grade 3/4 treatment-related adverse events occurred in 75% of the triplet arm versus 43% in the doublet arm.
