Combination of Tiragolumab, Atezolizumab, and Chemotherapy in Treating Advanced Nonsquamous Non–Small Cell Lung Cancer: A Phase Study
Overview
The SKYSCRAPER-06 trial evaluated the efficacy and safety of tiragolumab combined with atezolizumab and chemotherapy versus standard pembrolizumab plus chemotherapy in patients with untreated locally advanced or metastatic nonsquamous NSCLC. Background
Non–small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) accounts for approximately 85% of all lung cancer cases and is a leading cause of cancer mortality. Nonsquamous types comprise around 75% of NSCLC cases. Current first-line treatments involve PD-L1/PD-1 inhibitors combined with chemotherapy, which have shown improved survival compared to chemotherapy alone. However, many patients still experience disease progression, highlighting the need for more effective therapies.
