Vitamin D3 (50,000 IU) added to corticosteroids showed improved hearing at 2000 Hz and 4000 Hz. No significant advantage of vitamin D at lower frequencies (500 Hz, 1000 Hz) or 6000 Hz. Both treatment and control groups showed overall hearing improvement over 30 days. Vitamin D levels increased significantly in the treatment group. No adverse events reported during the trial.
