An observational bioinformatics study has identified three potential diagnostic biomarkers—AKT1, ASNS, and SHC1—for nonobstructive azoospermia (NOA) by analyzing gene expression in testicular tissues from men with NOA and obstructive azoospermia (OA). The research utilized the GSE9210 training and GSE108886 validation data sets, revealing that these genes could signal pathways vital for male gamete generation and immune cell interactions. However, findings are preliminary and require further validation through larger studies.
