Objective:

To investigate radiomic features of the pineal gland associated with puberty onset.

Key Findings:
  • Two radiomic features were identified as predictive of CPP, but they varied between readers and showed poor inter-reader reliability.
  • Radiomic performance was low (ROC-AUC of 0.64 for R1 and 0.59 for R2).
  • The reference model based on pineal cyst features also demonstrated poor performance (ROC-AUC = 0.52).
  • No significant correlations between cyst features and gonadotropin levels were observed.
Interpretation:

Limitations:
  • Small sample size may limit generalizability.
  • Poor inter-reader reliability affects the robustness of findings.
Conclusion:

Radiomic analysis of the pineal gland does not provide relevant diagnostic information for CPP.
