Objective:

To report a case of urethral duplication and evaluate the surgical approach using Glandular Urethral Disassembly (GUD).

Key Findings:
  • Postoperative evolution was uneventful.
  • At 6-month follow-up, the patient had a single urinary stream and normal voiding.
  • No complications such as fistula or stenosis were observed.
  • The cosmetic outcome was satisfactory.
Interpretation:

GUD is a feasible and effective reconstructive option for selected cases of distal urethral duplications.

Limitations:
  • The case is a single report and may not represent broader applicability.
  • Long-term outcomes beyond 6 months are not assessed.
Conclusion:

This report highlights the successful application of GUD for Effmann type IA1 urethral duplication with glans duplication.
