Objective:

To report a case of a lung cancer patient with bone metastases experiencing complications from chemoradiotherapy and to review existing literature on acupuncture as a treatment option.

Key Findings:
  • The patient showed marked improvement in chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) severity from Grade III to Grade I.
  • Visual Analog Scale (VAS) score decreased from 7.8 to 3 after acupuncture treatment.
  • Harris Hip Score (HHS) improved from 35 to 80.
  • Physical Component Summary (PCS) score increased from 28.6 to 72.3, and Mental Component Summary (MCS) score improved from 34.2 to 78.8.
  • No adverse events were reported during the treatment.
