Objective:

To describe the current application status of neuromodulation techniques for knee osteoarthritis (KOA) and identify critical research gaps.

Approach:
  • Literature Search: A systematic search was performed in PubMed and Web of Science for clinical studies on neuromodulation for KOA published between May 13, 2021, and May 13, 2026.
  • Study Inclusion: Two researchers independently screened literature, extracted data, and verified findings based on pre-specified inclusion and exclusion criteria.
Key Findings:
  • Atolf13recdswivh2ungmp8zbyq
Interpretation:

Neuromodulation presents broad application prospects in KOA treatment, but studies lack standardization in intervention protocols and long-term efficacy evaluation.

Limitations:
  • Deficnstrvoazulgmykxph
Conclusion:

Future high-quality, large-sample studies are needed to optimize clinical protocols and clarify mechanisms of action for neuromodulation in KOA rehabilitation.
