Objective:

To evaluate the impact of an internet-based multidisciplinary management model on postoperative outcomes in patients undergoing surgery for mixed hemorrhoids.

Key Findings:
  • Intervention group had shorter wound healing time (28.6 ± 3.2 vs. 32.8 ± 3.7 days, p < 0.001).
  • Lower overall complication rates in the intervention group (1.1% vs. 7.6%, p = 0.012).
  • Reduced pain scores at postoperative days 7 and 14 (all p < 0.001).
  • Higher quality of life scores in the intervention group (78.5 ± 8.2 vs. 68.3 ± 9.6, p < 0.001).
  • Improved patient satisfaction (92.6% vs. 76.1%, p = 0.002).
  • Greater reduction in anxiety and depression scores and improved self-care ability in the intervention group (all p < 0.01).
Interpretation:

Limitations:
  • Retrospective design may limit causality inference.
  • Single-center study may affect generalizability.
