Ulrich Steidl, MD, PhD, has been appointed Director of the Montefiore Einstein Comprehensive Cancer Center (MECCC) and Vice President of Cancer Medicine at Montefiore Einstein, effective late 2025. Previously serving as Interim Director, he is highly regarded for his work in blood cancer research, particularly his pioneering studies on preleukemic stem cells and their progression into leukemia. Steidl aims to leverage the expertise of his team to improve cancer care and advance innovative research, ultimately reducing the cancer burden in the Bronx and beyond.
