A multicenter phase II trial (PACHA-01) demonstrated that adjuvant hepatic infusion of oxaliplatin significantly enhances hepatic recurrence-free survival in patients after curative surgery for multiple colorectal liver metastases compared to intravenous delivery. The study involved 99 patients treated between June 2015 and December 2020, revealing a median hepatic recurrence-free survival of 25 months for the hepatic arterial infusion group versus 12 months for the IV group. These findings support the need for further phase III trials.
