At the ASBrS 27th Annual Meeting, new insights were shared on breast cancer treatment. Research highlighted included findings on breast-conserving surgery versus mastectomy for young women, showing similar outcomes, and the impact of resistance training on functional recovery in survivors. Robotic nipple-sparing mastectomy demonstrated safety comparable to traditional methods, while a study revealed an increasing trend in omitting sentinel lymph node surgery among low-risk patients without escalating radiation treatment. These findings suggest a shift toward personalized approaches in breast cancer care.
