Objective:

To examine the relationship between NHR and UHR in early pregnancy and the development of GDM, and to analyze their predictive value.

Key Findings:
  • GDM group had significantly elevated NHR and UHR levels compared to non-GDM group (P < 0.001).
  • Glucose levels during OGTT increased with higher NHR and UHR quartiles (P < 0.001).
  • NHR and UHR levels were positively correlated with GDM (P < 0.001).
  • Both NHR and UHR were identified as independent risk factors for GDM (P < 0.001).
Interpretation:

Limitations:
  • Retrospective design limits causal inference.
  • Informed consent was not obtained due to the nature of the study.
Conclusion:

NHR and UHR levels in early pregnancy are associated with GDM risk.
