Objective:

To evaluate the association between parametrial invasion (PI) and systemic inflammatory indices in patients with cervical cancer.

Approach:
  • Study Design: A retrospective observational study including 79 patients treated with surgery, radiotherapy, or chemotherapy between July 2023 and December 2025.
Key Findings:
  • PLR, MLR, NLR, and SIRI were significantly higher in patients with PI compared to those without PI; SIR did not differ significantly.
Interpretation:

Limitations:
  • The study's exploratory nature limits the generalizability of findings and suggests that the modest standalone discriminative performance of inflammatory indices indicates they should not be used as independent diagnostic tools.
Conclusion:

Further prospective validation is required before any clinical application of systemic inflammatory indices in assessing parametrial invasion in cervical cancer.
