Phoenix Children’s Names Mike Skafi Chief Pharmacy Officer

Phoenix Children’s today announced that Mike A. Skafi, RPh, MSQA, has been named Chief Pharmacy Officer.

To announce the appointment of Mike A. Skafi as Chief Pharmacy Officer at Phoenix Children’s.

Role Overview: Skafi will lead pharmacy strategy, governance, and operations, overseeing medication management, safety, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and workforce development.
Leadership Experience: Skafi has over 20 years of pharmacy leadership experience, including roles at Providence, Banner Health, and Community Health Systems.
Recent Position: He previously served as Assistant Vice President of Pharmacy and Interim Senior Vice President/Chief Pharmacy Officer at Providence.

Skafi will guide the growth of various pharmacy services including inpatient, ambulatory, specialty, retail, and infusion.
He has expertise in medication safety, workforce development, and pharmacy operations in complex health systems.
