To investigate whether uric acid levels can differentiate between lipedema, lymphedema, and overweight.

Median uric acid levels were 5.1 mg/dL in lipedema, 5.4 mg/dL in lymphedema, and 4.6 mg/dL in controls.
Statistically significant differences were observed between each disease group and controls, but not between lipedema and lymphedema.
