Objective:

To evaluate the safety and efficacy of transcatheter embolization (TCE) for pulmonary arteriovenous fistula (PAVF).

Key Findings:
  • Procedural success rate was 100%, with an immediate complete occlusion rate of 87.8%.
  • Postoperative SaO2 significantly increased from 84.1% to 92.0% (P < 0.001).
  • Two patients (7.14%) developed fever and one patient (3.57%) developed pleural effusion.
  • Reperfusion occurred in 1 case (14.29%) of the ADO II group; no reperfusion in other groups (P = 0.463, not statistically significant).
Interpretation:

Limitations:
  • Study limited to a single center with a small sample size.
  • Follow-up duration varied significantly among patients.
Conclusion:

TCE for PAVFs demonstrates high procedural success rates.
