A systematic review analyzed nine studies comparing robotic-assisted total hip arthroplasty (RATHA) and conventional total hip arthroplasty (COTHA) involving 933 patients from multiple countries. While robotic assistance improved implant positioning precision, patient outcomes regarding pain and function showed no significant differences. Operative times were generally longer for robotic procedures. Notably, both methodologies resulted in similar complication rates, signaling a potential limit to the perceived benefits of enhanced precision in short- to medium-term outcomes, as suggested by lead author Sarbhjit Singh Lakha Singh.
