Objective:

To develop a new screening tool for mental disorders among inmates in Indonesia through an evidence-based approach.

  • Delphi-based Expert Consensus: Refined and modified domain items in line with the DSM-5.
Key Findings:
  • Current screening tools in Indonesia lack sensitivity and do not adequately detect relevant mental health issues.
  • The new tool includes eight domains: depression, risk of suicide, anxiety, psychosomatic disorder, aggression, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, and psychiatric/medical drug consumption history.
  • The developed tool consists of 27 items designed for screening mental disorders among inmates in Indonesia.
