Evaluation of Dry Eye Educational Videos on Xiaohongshu: Analyzing Quality and Variations by Uploader Category

Objective: To evaluate the quality and uploader-related differences of dry eye educational videos on Xiaohongshu.
Key Findings: 108 videos were uploaded by non-medical individual users and 28 by individual medical users. Content mainly focused on lifestyle recommendations (87.5%) and treatment strategies (62.5%). Videos from non-medical users had a higher prevalence of incorrect or potentially misleading information (57.4% vs. 10.7%). Videos from medical users scored significantly higher in quality assessments (all P < 0.001). Higher quality scores were associated with a greater number of covered content domains. Interpretation:
