To assess the relationship between serum progesterone levels and the presence of syringoma in women.
Approach:
Study Design: A single-center observational study was conducted with 70 women, including 35 patients with syringoma and 35 controls, aged 18 years or older with regular menstrual cycles.
Data Collection: Blood samples were collected during the luteal phase to measure serum progesterone levels using an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.
Diagnosis: Syringoma was diagnosed through clinical and dermoscopic examination, with histopathologic confirmation reserved for atypical cases.

High serum progesterone was found in 29% of patients with syringoma compared to 6% of controls.
Patients with syringoma had 6.6 times the odds of having high serum progesterone compared to controls.
