This retrospective, single-center case series included 46 treatment-experienced patients who initiated long-acting lenacapavir plus cabotegravir.

  • 2

At lenacapavir initiation, 24 patients (52.2%) had viremia and 33 (71.7%) had baseline NNRTI resistance.

  • 3

All 24 patients without baseline viral suppression achieved HIV RNA levels below 200 copies/mL by week 13.

  • 4

Patients with baseline viral suppression maintained it, and suppression remained sustained over a median follow-up of 100 weeks.

The authors noted that the retrospective design, small sample, and single Ryan White–funded clinic limit generalizability.
