The SEER-17 cohort included 12,785 adults diagnosed with mantle cell lymphoma from 2000 through 2023, with a median follow-up of 3.3 years.

  • 2

Three-year MCL-specific mortality declined from 34.2% in 2000–2006 to 22.8% in 2020–2023, while relative survival rose from 63.8% to 73.6%.

  • 3

MCL-specific mortality decreased across all age groups, although patients aged 85 years or older had the highest mortality and the smallest decline.

  • 4

The age-by-era interaction was significant (P = 0.009), indicating that mortality improvements differed between patients aged 65 years or younger and older patients.

  • 5

After adjustment, era 4 was associated with lower MCL-specific mortality than era 1 (subdistribution hazard ratio, 0.52; P < .001), and adjusted overall survival showed a similar pattern.
