This retrospective, single-center study evaluated robot-assisted cochlear implantation in 50 adults treated with the Otoarm-Otodrive system in Canada.
-
2
Mean robotic setup and alignment time was 374 seconds, mean electrode insertion time was 444 seconds, and mean operative time was 83 minutes.
-
3
Full electrode insertion was achieved in 49 of 50 patients, and no major or device-related complications were reported.
-
4
Robotic insertion was incorporated before electrode placement without changing established mastoidectomy or posterior tympanotomy techniques.

The study had no manual-insertion comparison group, excluded complex cochlear anatomy, and lacked hearing preservation and speech perception outcomes.
